Residents are encouraged to share their views on how they travel to help us review our Local Transport Plan (LTP).

The survey seeks to understand residents' views on:

  • sustainability
  • public transport
  • highway management

The answers will be key in forming future transport strategies and policies, aiming for a more inclusive and environmentally conscious transport network.

Cllr Guy Gillbe, executive member for planning and transport, said:

“A lot has changed since we wrote our last local transport plan and to update it, we need the help of our residents.

“There are a lot of pressures we want to address when updating the plan, including the dependency on cars, improving air quality, and making the most of our walking and cycling networks.

"But to see what’s possible, we need to know how residents travel now as a starting point.”

The survey will be open until Wednesday 31 January.

Following this survey, workshops and public outreach will take place in the spring where further views will be captured. A full public consultation on the draft local transport plan will be held in the summer of 2024, allowing residents to comment on the proposed updates.
